Sony is an amazing company, supplying cameras to all smartphone manufacturers, but the brand’s own models have a notorious reputation when it comes to photographic capabilities. However, the Japanese have not yet said the last word – their new Xperia Pro 1 looks like it was created to beat all competitors in taking photos and videos.

In terms of design, the new product practically does not differ from the usual Xperia Pro, which was released earlier this year. The device is offered in a single black body color, which is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP65 / 68 standard and has an elongated screen without cutouts, covered with Gorilla Glass Victus.
The Xperia Pro-I is the largest sensor ever on a mobile device. The flagship has a 1-inch image sensor with 315-point phase detection autofocus and a pixel size of 2.4 microns, the same as in the RX100 VII camera. The main lens consists of ZEISS Tessar lenses, the aperture of which can be switched between f / 2.0 and f / 4.0, and a separate Bionz-X processor is responsible for image processing.
According to the manufacturer, the smartphone can take photos with minimal noise in low light conditions and provide unprecedented detail in scenes with a very wide dynamic range.
In addition to the main camera, the Sony Xperia PRO-I offers an ultra wide-angle (16mm) and telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom (50mm, OIS), as well as a number of additional features. These are real-time eye tracking autofocus, the ability to shoot up to 20 frames per second, support for 12-bit color depth, RAW photography and 4K HDR video recording at 120 frames per second. There is a dedicated shutter release button, a programmable button and even a place to attach a lanyard – once it was in every phone, but today it is a real curiosity.
Sony also boasts cool audio capabilities: the smart has stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos certification, support for 360 Spatial Sound, LDAC codec and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Well, gamers will appreciate the advanced cooling system, Dynamic Vibration System tactile response and the increased frequency of the touch sensor – 240 Hz.
Sony Xperia PRO 1 price
The cost of the Sony Xperia PRO-I in the US will be $ 1,799 (~ 126 thousand rubles). For comparison: the standard flagship of the Japanese Xperia 1 III costs $ 1299. The price of the new item is surprisingly … low, because the previous model Sony Xperia Pro costs a staggering $ 2499!
In Russia, the Pro-series is not officially sold, and it is not a fact that something will change with the new model.
